    Contact Groups

    I have the original Droid and cant figure out how to create groups in my contacts.

    A little help please

    How do you send an email to one of the groups that you created FROM THE PHONE? Like a mass email.

    I read that but it seems to me that these are instructions for a PC, it doesn't seem to work from the GMAIL app on my phone. Am I missing something? Sorry!

    Were you able to create the Group? If so, does it display in the Contacts app on your phone? If so, start a new email, enter the group name and then the body of the email.


    What issues are you having?

    yes, I have several groups that I created on my PC, they show up when I select contacts from my "contacts" app. For example, friends.

    I open gmail app, compose, in the to field i start typing friends but it doesn't find the group. Can't figure it out...

    If you manually enter "Friends" will it sent the email to the entire group?

    Mike, I'm not certain but I looked at the page you referred to. It seems to me that this could be done by the phone but you would need to access gmail on the phones browser to get it to work that way.

    No, when I leave the field it turns it into "friends@gmail.com" LOL No biggie, thanks anyway!
