    The first thing you need to do is get the phone to power on. Does it charge for you?

    all that indicates its charging would be the light in the charging port. but the light is on. so i think its charging.

    ok. any advice if that doesnt work? im using wifi at my university and i might have to leav soon. ive downloaded another kernel from another thread. but currently have no way of installing it and im not even sure how to.
