    Maps wont stay off..

    On my Droid1, how come my maps keep turning on? I turn it off and it keeps turning back on. I have everything set to off.

    Interesting. Since you have everything turned off uninstall maps then reinstall to see if that rectifies the issue

    Check and make sure Latitude is either off or isn't set to automatically detect your location. This is just a guess since I don't use Latitude.

    I can only uninstall the maps update and now I cant find latitude. Is it gone?

    Latitude is part of maps as is places, if you can only uninstall updates and you still have maps after uninstalling updates then this means you have maps.apk in the system/app folder also (anytime a system app updates it stores the update in data/app and the original stays in system/app resulting in two copies of the same.apk) you can delete the system copy using Root Explorer, then after a reboot you should be able to cleanly install maps from the Market
