Touchdown and Exchange

I dont have a droid., but I am leaning towards getting one. I read that touchdown solves many of the exchange issues. I was wondering if someone who uses touchdown can help answer my questions.

Since touchdown is a program, when you launch it, it takes you into the program where you can then select the functions of mail; calander; contacts, etc.

Is there a way that on the home screen of the droid, you can just have an icon for individual functions, such as mail only?

I would like to be able to just access mail, or calander or contacts by themselves, not have to go into touchdown and then select the function.

Yes, you can add the individual icons for each function of touchdown to the home screen. You can also add widgets for each function too. Awesome app...
