Alt+enter key result change between 2.1 and 2.2?

I use callpod keeper to manage passwords and stuff. For my password I would hit alt twice (to make it perma alt), then type in a string for the password, which resulted in numbers, characters, etc.

After the 2.2 update something changed and my password is not working. I think it has to do with the a key, as the alt version of it is ->| . When I type it in plain text there is a space where the alt+a character is and it doesn't look right and I don't think it did that in 2.1


It's a long shot, but does anyone remember alt+a in 2.1 giving a different result when pressed? maybe just a? maybe blank?

I'm down to one more failed attempt before it gets hosed.
