Why in the world would anyone still use hotmail when you have to have a gmail account to use our phones anyway? Gmail is superior in every POSSIBLE way to hotmail, and if it's your address you're worried about, a set of simple rules in gmail/hotmail would allow you to use gmail and still send/receive with your hotmail address. Then you could just use the gmail app as well. No offense to any of you guys, but I just can't fathom using hotmail when gmail is available to you. It'd be like choosing to run the iPhone OS on an Android phone.
I actually just a few days ago started forwarding my Hotmail into Gmail so I could use the Gmail app, but because of this new Exchange support I switched back to using the Email app. I really see no significant difference but because I've used Hotmail for so long I'm just used to it I guess.
What version of 2.2 are you guys running? I'm running LithMod on my Droid and can't get it to work on either the stock email app or Touchdown.
I read on the XDA HTC Desire forum that there is an updated 2.2 email app that works, but I'm not sure if that's the one I'm using or a different one. I may try and install it and see if it works.
