    Tethering...

Hey there guys...haven't needed any help in a VERY long time. Now I do...

I have an HP Pavillion dv4000 running XP...can't get my droid to tether or WiFi so that I can get on the internet. I can do it just fine on my Toshiba Satelite LD505...but not the HP. Am I doing something wrong? Do you need any other specs off that laptop?

    Thanks :-)

Search for "wireless tether" on the market, run that, it will ask for SU permissions, checkmark remember and select allow, click start tethering, then search for the wireless network on your laptop.

I Just insatlled pdaNET yesterday. It works great.

    -download the desktop app
    - install it on your phone
    - connect your phone

Here are the steps from the developer...

PdaNet is a regular Android application and can be installed on all Android phones. It doesn't require hacking or rooting your phone.

Simply download the installer to your Mac or Windows computer and run it, then follow on-screen instructions to install and connect. You can also install PdaNet directly from the phone by going to Download PdaNet.

Since all upgrades are free, make sure you stay on the latest version. Follow the same instructions above to install any new build on the computer. If you are a registered user your license will be remembered.
