1. What do you use for overlapping widgets?
2. I've seen this and can't remember if anyone explained it - how do you take such nifty screen shots that capture the whole wallpaper.

With ADW and Launcher Pro, you can have it allow overlapping widgets. Then you just resize the widgets over each other.

They stack in order of when you add them, first one on the bottom, last one on top. You just need to play with it and then you'll see. The shortcuts and dock are actually widgets (Desktop Visualizer) that are stacked.

For the screen shot, the actual screenshot is just the home screen in the middle. I resized the wallpaper in GIMP, dropped the screen on a new layer, added the white border to the home screen, then used some drop shadow to give the appearance of a matte.
