So, a couple days ago, my Droid simply stopped syncing gmail. I have to manually tell it to refresh if I want to check for new messages.
Checking my account settings, it is set to sync. It's just...not.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Setting>applications>manage applications>all (at top)>Gmail>clear data
Or settings> accounts & sync> then select you Gmail acct
One of those should do it
I did that, but it's not working. I've got 5 new messages in gmail on my computer, but no notifications on my Droid. It's been a few minutes since I did the cache/data clear. I've got both a 3G signal and wifi, so there's plenty bandwidth.
I think once the email is accessed from a PC they are removed from the droid ... I am not 100% sure on that though.
But, if you're using an app like JuiceDefender it limits the sync to once every 15 minutes.
Close gmail on your PC and send yourself an email from another acct ...
I powered the droid off and back on, and now it seems to be working. Thanks for the help!
Cool deal!
When in doubt - reboot![]()
