I read that Froyo will "...be able to store apps on external memory cards", and there is a tab for SD Card apps under application management. Does this mean that we can finally install apps to the SD card easily? And if so, is there an easy way to move currently installed apps to the SD Card?

Well it needs to be made a little more known. I found out about it here and was going to post something. I don't see where it is otherwise. If it isn't in plain sight, people aren't going to see it.
Hey is the market down right now? I keep getting errors whenever I go there.
Ataranine: You would have been more of a help by providing a link since it was only obvious that the OP didn't know there was another thread before starting this one.
if you go to settings, applications, manage applications and select and app there is a tab to move to sd card. Some apps you can move, some you can't. The developer has to update the app to make it available to be stored on SD and since Froyo is fairly new there is a small amount of apps at this time but it will grow. If you are rooted you can use one of many ROMS that allow all apps to be stored on SD card.
