    Android question - tablets

Okay, if you look at your local Kmart ad for this week, you will see that they are advertising a 7" Android based tablet from a little known company called Augen.

Of course none of the Kmarts have them yet, so you can only get a raincheck for them. I'm really hoping to get my hands on one sometime.

Anyway, my question is that it shows this tablet is running 2.1. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to take one of the 2.2 mods and customize it to this tablet. You could take phone and texting out of the o/s but leave many of the other features on.

That could turn this into a sweet little tablet/pad. Just wondering if any of the developers out there had heard anything about this, or any of the other future Android tablets coming in the future.
