About LinkBacksMy friend has Verizon as well, and he has tried to send me an animated pic. Problem is when I receive it, it is not animated, it is still. What could be the problem? When I save it to the SD card, it shows up as a gif file. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm having the same problem when I get any pict messages that have any animation to them they are still I'm not sure if its a setting on my phone or what any ideas? Thanks for any ideas any one may have

12-02-2009 04:14 PMAfter doing a little research I think I've found the answer: looks like the droid doesn't support animated gif files. WTF?!? Hopefully this is going to be fixed; animated GIF's are very basic and most phones support it.

I've found that the messaging app Handcent supports animated gif's.
