lost messages

i have 5,444 messages sent in my phone and i lost them all twice....any help on finding them in my phone or getting them back? lmk plz thanx

It happened to me a few days ago. I don't know why but it did. Sorry I couldn't help, I just wanted to throw in my related problem. lol.

to the Droid Forums. Sorry to hear about your messages, but they are indeed gone and unretrievable.

There is an app in the app store that will save your messages. I suggest you search for that.

How does one get over 5,000 text messages? I'll never have that many from my first text until the time I cork off.

Thanks Hook, I'll look for that. But In the Message settings I can only set up to 5000 text messages. But when my Droid reset my messages I had about 2000 (more or Less) lol.

Download SMSbackup from the market and set it to auto backup at whatever time you want and then when your txts do get erased just restore them from the app.
