Question regarding launcherpro beta

Why the hell can't the stock home be this fast? This is and incredible difference, running an 800mhz kernel its faster than It ever was with stock home @1ghz. granted, I am only running three screens as I found 5 to be too many for my needs, but how is this app doing what Google hasn't seemed to be able to?
