Ok, for now I came full circle. I bought a Droid late last year and absolutley fell in love with it. Well, the grass is always greener on the other side and I bought an Inc. I gave it a week and a half, and I keep coming back to the Droid. It truly is the bomb. The Inc is awesome in it's own way and I'm sure it appeals to many people. I LOVE the Exchange functionality. It blows the Droid away. All calendars being combined into one is friggin awesome, but that's about where my enjoyment runs out.
Here's my question. I still have my droid. If I go online there is a place to activate it again. Will I be charged $35 to bring it back from the dead? If not, then I will simply shelf my Inc and hope that they get some updates to address some shortcomings. My biggest one right now is dropped calls. I have zero tolerance for a dropped call under normal circumstances (sitting in my living room!). Last week I worked from home for a day and had at least 4 dropped calls. I about threw the thing out into the street. It was damn near embarrassing. My Droid has never even thought of such a thing! I've occassionally dropped a call while out of town on the highway, but that's expected. In my living room?? No way! Also, if you rely on predictive text, the Inc is boderline failure. You pretty much have to type the whole word before it suggests what you want. On the droid i can start typing and within the first 3 letters it normally has my word up on the screen. The droid also let's you customize ringtones for about anything you can imagine. The Inc lets you do about two customizations; one for ring tone and another for everything else.
I will say battery life on the Inc blows away the droid. I can go 24 hours easily.
Thanks for your time.
