    Virtual keyboard during google search

    Not sure if this is a bug but if I try a search from the home screen i get the portrait keyboard only. I cannot get the landscape keyboard. Is this normal. I thought at one time I could.

    it appears to be portrait only. Since the homescreen only goes landscape with the physical keyboard pulled out, that seems to be the only way the google widget works.
