Activating a used Droid?

If I buy a used Droid, how do I go about activating it....what do I need to do? Thanks

Just hit *228 and send, select option #1 and follow instructions. Pretty easy!

this is after you call verizon to switch the HEX or MEID numbers to your account (idk which one it is, theyll tell you)

OK, I am talking about a phone that someone else has owned and used, sold it and I want to reactivate to my account and my phone number.

Just want to make sure I am being clear on what I am asking.

Yep just log into your account and click on activate a phone.

You have to have the appropriate plan though or your activation will fail.
Don't forget to turn your old phone off and dial *228 on the droid for activation.

Yeah you have to make sure you have to nice expensive plan for data use to activate the Droid. As long as you already have that plan you can do it all online by logging in to your account. If you have questions then it might be easier to just call them and do it that way.
