    Uninstalling Pre-loaded apps

    ok question maybe this has been covered my phone is 2.1 update and I would like to find out if the pre-installed apps like face book can be uninstalled? I have been told by a independent reseller for Verizon that it can be done. but they wanted to charge 25.00 to uninstall it for me i said no way so now iam asking if it can be done. On a non-rooted Moto. droid

    You must be rooted to remove pre-installed apps.

    Ok now can the phone be rooted with the 2.1 update already OTA installed?

    I think it's possible, but first you have to go back to 2.0.1.

    That is correct. Here is a thread on how to go back to 2.0.1. You could then root. I suggest reading up in the Hacks section before trying any of this.

    Well Maybe someone will come up with a way to uninstall apps without rooted I am gonna try this later today and then do the rooting thing LOL nothing but another brick in da wall LOL
