Warning: Remove Launcher2 before updating to ESE81/2.1!

Also, do not install it. IT WILL NOT WORK AND YOU WILL BE STUCK IN A FORCE CLOSE LOOP. It is not compatible currently with ESE81.

This is a warning for folks running stock. Rooters take note as well, unless your ROM has been modified, or you have modified your ROM to work with Launcher2.

This happened to me yesterday. I quickly hit force close and then the search key. After a couple of tries I got the search bar and then had to quickly force close and type Astro. This then took me to the Astro file browser and I was able to run the Launcher2 file to uninstall. No problems since then.

I wish I saw this before I did a factory reset! I couldn't get into safe mode for the life of me...I reluctantly did a hard reset and now I am trying to get all my apps back. The Market doesn't keep track of all the free ones you had for very long! I got some of them but then the rest just "disappeared" from the market!

Is there a good multiscreen app that will give more than the stock 3 screens? I heard Helix was good but it is also force closing...

    Thanks

Home++ can give you up to 7 windows and has some really nice features. So far the only downside is it doesn't support live wallpaper. The funny thing is I was getting some FC's before the upgrade to 2.1, but it hasn't happened since I installed it.

    The statement below is true...

AGREE, I also closed and unstuck my old "2.1 Launcher2" thread to avoid confusion. "Launcher2" + Official Droid 2.1 = Bad Juju.

I am using clockworkmod launcher and it has been great. I am not rooted and it supports the live wallpapers. It also has the 3D app drawer. Just a suggestion.

    Smile home alternatives.

Hello all I also am not rooted, I have the clockwork mod home installed as well as GDE, and Sweeter home 2 beta, I switch between sweeter home [cause its a beta and has some issues atm] and GDE. GDE has up to 7 screens as well and lots of cool features theck it out. Sweeter home is by far my favorite so far. I just hope they get some of its memory issues worked out. If you dont want to try them and mess you phone up do a search on youtube for vid's check them out. GDE is very stable if your worried about stability at the moment.
