Email not auto syncing?

Hey, I use both the Gmail app and the Email app, the gmail one will auto sync but the email one (with my school email) does not auto sync and I have to manually refresh for it to show email. I checked and sync is turned on and also I have the setting set up to check every 30 min but it still doesn't work... any ideas?

What protocol does your school use? It may be that they do not push.

My school uses webmail by google, so it basically looks/work a lot like Gmail, except for the @gmail.com part. I have POP and IMAP enabled.

Since it us web mail just select pop
