Do faster processors in Nexus and other devices make a difference?

I am liking the Droid though am interested in the Nexus One and the supposed Incredible coming to VZW. I am not into the keyboard on the Droid so that is not a big deal for me.

What I'm curious about is the processor on the other devices. Anyone know if it will really make much of a noticeable difference with day-to-day type applications? I do not notice any lag on my Droid currently, so just curious what difference it will make.

    Thanks.

Yes, and no. It is faster. Benchmarks faster. But some will argue that because the N1 doesn't have a separate GPU that the droid and the N1 come out about even.

If you dont care for the keyboard, get an incredible. It's going to be..well...incredible.

This has been discussed a few times already. Personally I don't see any compelling reason to switch. Also worth noting that if you do plan to root the Droid you can overclock it to 800 Mhz - 1 Ghz with relative ease and maintain stability and functionality. It all depends on what YOU want.

    LG G2X w/ rooted 2.3.3 leak.

It's OK for your Droid to be different. Just be supportive and reassuring and it will do just fine. It's when you or other people point at it or mock it for being different is when its' feelings get hurt. Just show it unconditional love regardless of its' differences and it will in turn reciprocate that love and loyalty.

    1. Is there any info on when the incredible might be releases on VZW?
    2. Is "rooting" the droid the same idea as jailbreaking an iPhone?

    Thanks.

    No & Yes..........

    1. No

    2. Kinda. Jailbreaking an iPhone more or less allows you to install and run apps and perform some functions that Apple does not allow. Whereas rooting a Droid allows you to change ROM (which is more or less the applications and GUI you see), the kernel (which is the actual operating system) as well as tweak the overall operation of the device (overclocking, tethering, tweaking memory management, etc...)

So there you have it. Explained to the best of my abilities and if anyone else can clarify any better have at it.
