The iPhone sucked badly when playing back anim. gifs. I'm just wondering (for the uber geeks in the house) if you think they will play back normally on the Droid, considering the processor and all. Wondering...... Something to chew on, etc.....

My guess would be that playback should be ok since it has a GPU, but im not sure how the playback would be handled.
