when i was rooted with SM i had 85mb, it was unstable and crushing often so went back to stock and currently i have 170mb

I asked this question over in the hacking section, but maybe over here would be a better place to ask...kmasum maybe you can answer.
After rooting and going back to stock, i noticed that the internal memory did not go back down to what it was before i rooted. because of this i am assuming that the files/roms i installed while rooting are still on the phone somewhere. is there any way to get rid of these? other than a factory reset? i ask because its about 30-50mb being used up and thats a decent chunck of the internal memory to be taken up by nothing.
