i thought i'd start this thread so people don't get the wrong idea about the droid. 5h 17m 20s since unplugged. battery status: discharging. battery level: 100%. bugless beast 1.1, overclocked to 1.1 ghz.

Mine rocks also. Now that we are out of the honeymoon stage, I get an average of 38 hours and some change. Display eats up more than anything else, so I try to keep dim as allowed by condtions.
No complaints here.

are you guys using your phones? I had gps, wireless and auto-updates turned off and screen set to minimal dim. Even with lite use my battery was barely lasting 8 hours.

There's no way if you are using your phone you have 100% battery after 5-6 hours...just running pandora will put you at 90% after 2 hours easily, with the screen off in your pocket

There are countless variables that affect battery life.

Compared to previous phones, my well-used Droid (doing much more for me than any previous phone) has amazing battery life. A very happy owner here.

Yeah I use my phone heavily and I never dip below 50% by the end of the day, don't know what all of you are going on about. The only thing I've noticed is a surefire battery killer is 3D games.
