I don't think a warranty will cover physical damage, that would be insurance assuming you have it.
An SBF will unroot the phone but it won't clear the ICS Root counter.

Well fellas.............guess what I did.
Sending my phone back saying power button has a wiggle to it and hardly works when pressed so my screen won't unlock
