Official Verizon Droid Case is horribly designed...

Why in the world would they include this rough, webbed design throughout the entire inside of the case? Always makes me worry it is gonna scratch it up over time.

He may think so, which is what matters.

Sorry for the late response. Yeah, this is the official Verizon Case for the Droid. Picked it up at a local Verizon store. I saw a good review for it on Youtube, but this rough, mesh that completely covers the inside of the case was never brought up.

What type of material is it that lines the inside of that case?

Is it fabric? ...vinyl? ...rubber? ...other?

If it's any of the above materials, I don't think they would be able to "scratch it up over time". (...unless maybe the material is a hard plastic?)

Here is a link to a product description:
Amazon.com: Verizon Branded Leather Pouch for Motorola Droid A855 and Droid Eris by HTC [Sealed Verizon Retail Packaging]: Cell Phones & Service

Honestly, I can't tell what the actual material is. It's just very rough to the touch, and you can slide your finger over the lining and easily feel the webbing design. Sometimes I will pull my phone out of the case and the screen will have the webbing imprinted on it lol.
