Yeah true I doubt it would come out anytime soon (2 months) more like Q4 of 2010.

Nice Photoshop pic,but i think i would rather keep the one i have now, and some people will probably think that picture is a new one coming out,I wouldn't be surprised if i see that pic on Engadget tomorrow morning with the title "New DROID 2" or something -_-

and I was also reading about this somewhere else and saw this:

Motorola just sold 1.2 million DROIDs and if you think they're going to redesign and release a new version a few months after the original release ... you're crazy.
Which made me think i have nothing to worry about

I think that it shouldn't have a dpad cuz thats taking up so much space on the original droid keyboard already.

A D-pad is a must for me, but I readily admit that the d-pad on the current droids are WAY to big.

For me d-pads are used to select small items in a browser where touching is too impressible. And a decent d-pad would go a long way in terms of gaming controls, imo.

A clickable trackball would be nice too like on the BB.

Getting rid of the D-pad will allow for more spread out buttons, I personally think it was a waste of space putting it in there (that big at least). I had always thought that it would have been awesome if they had made the phone slide horizontally as well as vertically. Have it so the numbers can be where the d-pad currently so it can be quickly accessed either way. This way when its slid up when vertical we could have T9 input which make it much easier to text with one hand when you're on the go... but I would NEVER do that because its illegal to text and drive here in Washington

Here's a slightly modified version with a trackball! Let's send this to Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha.

See the one above. A trackball would be easier than a D-Pad, but its personal preference.

Too bad it's not as easy to build as it is to PS! Myself - I need the numerical keys also. I'd take that over a trackball or Dpad.

Motorola - Let's Git 'er Done! cuskit
