hmm.. honestly i would say no.. reason is that would be more of a motorola/droid update and or app... but of course it would have to be somewhat passed through the screeners at verizon (the test guy)..

Yeah, that little stipulation about who's name is on the account does suck. And it's STUPID logic. Anyway, the data card is necessary bc we live out in the country... and the only other service available is 24kbps maximum connection dial-up. Seriously. So, the data card is the only other option that is viable.
As for the loyalty plans, would they apply because my acct was just inherited by Verizon? I was with Alltel for umpteen years before that, though.
And VZW knows how to milk the money outta customers... separate data plans for each phone is a total rip-off. Just charge me $60/mth for all the data on the entire account. Geez!
yep i hear you on the card..
as for the alltell to vzw.. you dont qualify sorry(the time was not with vzw).. but acceptions can be made depends on the rep/manager..
as for the data packages yes that is what makes them expensive.. and to summarize, you can do a transfer of service to her name (if she does not require a deposit due to credit check.)
THANKS Hector. I'll talk with the local manager... and maybe make a few calls to CS and see what happens.
Other than switching the account to my wife's name (and praying the discount actually applies) or a manager feeling some love, is there anything else you know of? Different plan? Or, some hidden Easter egg in the MyVerizon app that would give me a lil bit of a break? :)
Well considering that Verizon had disabled Motorola Q9c's GPS abilities, I'd think that they could easily apply a feature that would enable the phone talking to our Bluetooth headsets.... voice is already sent to the Bluetooth via actual calls, so I'm thinking it's not a hardware shortcoming, no?
ok, the easiest way to save money with vzw is reviewing your monthly average and adjusting your plan and packages to your needs.. i know i know its not an easter egg.. but if you have a phone that does not use internet block data.. or if one can use wifi.. cut data.. if you use 1500 mins a month why hve more.. people usually over spend with verizon.. " to be on the safe side" you going over once is better then paying more in the long run..
I have a bill that is overdue since i lost my job for a little bit of time. in the past week ive paid about half of it, and today i get a text saying to please dial PMT to avoid interruption. Given a few weeks, i could easily have it paid off. Do you think if i talked to a rep they would be able to extend it? i mean we all dont have fancy jobs where we can pay it off in one day
