    Did Google Voice Just Start Push Notifications?

    I have had Google Voice for a while and have to forward the voicemails to my GMail account because Push has never been functional for Google Voice.

    Earlier this afternoon, someone left a message, and I got the Google Voice App's notification about 3 seconds before I got the GMail notification. I just sent a couple SMS messages to my GVoice number, and they appeared in the GVoice App within 20 seconds.

    Can someone else give it a try and confirm?

    oI font notice anything new, as this has happened for me a few tones over the past couple months. I always just assumed that out had to do with Google call volume, server load and luck of the draw as to where the refresh cycle is when the call comes in.

    i thought that the gmail trick shows stuff immediatly, and then the app checks every 5 mins.

    It always did. I turned off the GMail notification, and set the refresh to never, and they are now coming through in a matter of seconds.
