***How to FIX poor battery on Droid***

Due to some quesitons of how the battery works ill edit my post....

I am not sure if this has been brought up somewhere so sorry if this is a repost but............

Charge your Droid for 24 Hours Straight!!! Period!

My battery used to last about 11-12 hours before it died. I charged for 24 hours and I am 60% with 17 hours since I unplugged.

Regardless of how or why this works, the directions in the Droid booklet state to charge the phones for 24 hours before use.

Put this to the test. Worked for me, hopefully it will work for you!

    Hope this helps,
    Jeff

Correct and it should work after a month, not sure but it wouldn't hurt to try.

This is for anyone with a rechargeable battery like the ones in our phones. The battery has no idea when its full so it has to be calibrated. This is done my charging it beyond when it "thinks" it is full. So charge for 24 hours straight then try it out.

Funny, I was going to post something along these lines. My phone will sometimes go from 100% to 70% VERY quickly. Then sometimes it'll seem like it'll stay at 60% (this is all arbitrary) for a while, then quickly drop to 20%.

It DOES kind of seem the phone acts goofy sometimes in terms of the battery. I'll try it. It'll probabyl take a week to figure out if its correct, though.

This battery does not need to be calibrated. It has no memory. That was the old lithium battery. The new generation does not require this.

Wow I'm really going to have to try this. My battery says its like 40% left after about 10 hours and I am not really even using it. Just on my 15 min breaks twice a day. But I will try this out and see if it works.

Maybe I should have used the large font. Spreading misinformation is not beneficial.
