    Delete apk files from sd?

Didn't see this question addressed when I searched. After installing apps from the sd card, (Mylock, etc) is it ok to delete or remove the .apk file from the sd card?

Yes you can, as you then can uninstall from applications.

Thanks for the reply. I'm anal about keeping everything in order, and couldn't see wasting that space if it wasn't needed.

    Good question Bob...

So, if I understand this right, I can delete the Swype apk (for instance) and it's folder from the SD directory, now that Sywpe is installed?

The space gain is minimal at best...I'll leave the OS do it's job....

I just keep all my apk's on my computer... delete after install on Droid, still have them if need be. Though it is a minimal gain...
