Droid 2 voice command issue

Whenever I activate the voice command on my Droid 2 (whether through the phone or my bluetooth) it takes 30 seconds to a minute before it asks for my command. Is this normal. Is there anything I can do to decrease this delay.

I have the same problem. On my old Samsung Sway voice command response was almost instantaneous. With the DX it takes so long I often press the talk button on my Motorola H720 earpiece a second time assuming I didn't connect. Very frustrating.
