Xperia Play thoughts?

I want to know DF's general consensus on the Xperia Play. I have an OG Droid and am thinking the Play will be the phone to convince me to upgrade. My only problem is that I'm worried about the phone feeling cheap. My friend is constantly bragging about his Samsung Epic 4g and I absolutely ABHOR that phone. It feels so much like poorly constructed plastic. My Droid feels rock solid compared to a vast majority of the smartphone market. It feels solid and hefty, which I like. Getting used to a lighter and more plastic feeling phone will take some time but I'm liking the Xperia Play so far.
