Well, im stuck on ATT for now and looking to upgrade from my Nokia E71x. Ive never had any desire to get an iphone or windows phone and since i run linux on multiple computers i own, the androids seemed to be the only logical choice. While doing research i stumbled on what looks to be a freakishly amazing phone: the Moto Atrix. Dual core, 1 gig ram, 16gig hd with micro sd slot for 48gigs total and of course the docking capabilities (love the idea of carrying your computer in your pocket and docking it in different places).
However, upon further research i came across accusations of Moto that even though the linux kernel is being used they will be locking it so users will not be able to customize as much as, say, HTC phones by rooting.
Im available for an upgrade right now, but im patient enough to wait at most 3 or 4 months until moving into an android if it ensures that i will get exactly what i want.
If i do end up going with the Atrix i dont mind "illegally" rooting the phone to use it how it should be used if its possible.
What would you do? Get an existing android, wait for the Atrix or wait for _____ phone? Unfortunately moving to verizon is not an option atm.
Btw, first post!
