As for mark all read .... you can use the check boxes next to the emails and then after all checked click mark as read .... but there isn't an actual mark all as read without the checkboxes on the phone.
[QUOTE=korp;127137It should work fine if you have it leave a copy on the server ... if it doesn't leave a copy then yes it won't show up.[/QUOTE]
Right, although I don't want to do that because I'll hit my space requirements and have to go through the web interface to the server to clean it out. But the great thing is there are multiple ways to set this up so everyone can use what works best for them.
Thanks for this great info 640k!
I was able to setup my POP3 through Gmail and I'm receiving all my emails just fine. I have it setup so that when I reply to one of my POP3 emails, it shows that the reply came from my POP3 email account. But if I understand correctly, there is no way to compose a new email from my POP3 email account, is that correct?
Either way, this is way better than their email client.
on gmail.com, you can, in fact, change who the message is coming from. through the gmail app on your phone, you cannot.
however, all labeled mails through other accounts CAN be setup to reply through those accounts.
You can create a backup folder in hotmail and move all of your old emails there.
640, I have used this a while back but had to stop. After gmail retreived from the pop and pushed to my droid it removed it from the server so that I could not use it later from my pc. Even though the "leave on server was checked"
Went back in and researched in google and they had a note that said this may happen with some servers.
