Droid 1, everything force closing. URGENT

So today I received my new 32 gb micro sd from sandisk. I copied the root of my SD (old one) onto my computer. I then turned off the phone, put in the new sd card, and formatted it. Next, I copied all the files back onto it.

Now, I am getting force closes on all ANDROID applications. Music works fine, my images show up, doodle jump works. Anything that uses a system resource though (XScope, Phone, Handcent, Messaging) force closes immediately.

Also, when I try to connect to wifi, it just says connecting... disconnecting. Then it wont connect. I cannot place calls or respond to texts.

    Should mention:
Droid 1, running stock froyo with the OTA update that came a few days ago. I installed the new market yesterday, but that has been workign fine. I haven't downloaded any other new apps recently.

P.s. I cannot try uninstalling and reinstalling apps, because market wont connect to any internet.

I have a field trip tommorow, and would like to have my phone working.

What does it say when you try one of these apps? Have you tried a battery pull?

    1. Did you have apps on the sd?

    2. Have you rebooted?

    3. What happens when you put the old sdcard back in?

    4. Last ditch effort for me would be to do a factory hard reset and start over.

    Good luck.

Try taking everything off card and formating on pc, then format on phone, install apps from market instead of trying to use the apps from old sd card. After all apps install then put your pics on phone, use usb though. I had a hell of a time with my 32gb card! I did what you did and lots of things where messed up. I had to start from scratch with installing apps from market and then do pics for it to work with no problems

    Might it be easier?

Perhaps it would be easier for me to do a factory hard reset. I have all my handcent/adw preferences saved. What is the best way to go about doing this. I would prefer to do it directly from the phone. What if I press that ominous little button near the battery?

    Factory Hard Reset:

With your Motorola Droid still powered "Off," slide open the keyboard.
Press and hold the "X" button on the keyboard while pressing the "Power/Unlock" button, located next to the 3.5mm headphone jack. Continue holding down the buttons until a yellow triangle "Warning Sign" appears on the screen.
Once the yellow warning sign appears, press the physical "Volume UP" and "Camera" buttons simultaneously until a new menu appears. This may take several attempts before success.
From the new menu that appears on-screen, go down to the "wipe data/factory reset" option using the Directional-Pad next to the keyboard, and press the "Center" button on the D-Pad to confirm.
Scroll down to the "Yes -- delete all user data" and press the "Center" button on the D-Pad once more. That's it! When your Motorola Droid is done wiping all saved applications, information, and settings, your device will be back to the factory settings.
