How doesn't rooting violate ur tos ur the first person I've heard say tht

I think the question should be, "How DOES it violate the TOS?" It shouldn't be a problem for anyone to quote it from the TOS, if it's there.
Rooting violates your warentee, not the ToS.
Doing things like tethering DOES violate the ToS however

How does tethering violate the tos?

They say you're stealing data, but I say, as expensive as they already are, they can live with it.
This is why I hate the l33t one click root apps.
All the ppl that rooted there phone correctly don't have this problem and aren't bringing attention to big red.
If you have a custom recovery installed like sprecovery or clockwork they will block the install.
The Verizon TOS states "modifying your device from the manufacturer's specifications"...
So... my question would be, how does rooting "modify the device from the manufacturer's specifications"? The only thing rooting does is open up ALL of the manufacturer's "specifications". If one pays that much money for a phone you would think that ALL of the "specifications" would be available to the consumer at that price.
That would be like buying a new TV and they tell you "you aren't allowed to turn to any other channel than the one it's set on".
Tethering is a whole different ball game. That I can understand being against the TOS.
So MattyP how do you get all the ladies??
'MattyP' I just offer classes on upgrading their OS...
Really?? That's it??
'MattyP' yeah, the chicks love it when you give em an upgrade...
