How can one transfer a address book from Q9m to their Droid with out typing every entry?
Well if you contacts are also in outlook just export them to Dos csv file. They will load no problem in gmail. Also if you have contact groups, BEFORE you import the CSV into gmail be sure to create the groups that you have in gmail. All your contacts should import fine and also be within the groups. Worked for me. Then your phone will sync with gmail and you are all set.
i dont get why you would have to be tied to your work email. You install google sync on your moto phone and run it and then when google syncs on your droid it will update the contact list as well. Am I missing something? Worked like a charm from my Blackberry and I was believing it would work just as well with the moto phone. I transferred over 100 contacts in less than one minute.
one way to avoid this is to export your entire calendar to an .ical file (no attachments) and then import that into your google calendar before using sync.
i struggled for a couple days with this, but now my appointments are instant. i so don't miss activesync.
