Best chess and poker games?

Anyone have a suggestion for the best chess and texas hold em games? There are a lot on the market and the opinions seem mixed.

I've tried Chess 4.1 and it looks very nice, but I can't get it to work. I always get stuck on the "create log in " screen and can never seem to get a game going with anyone.

The two I've tried are Chess by Odesys, LLC ($3.99) and Droidfish Chess by Peter Osterlund (Free).

The Odesys is a great interface and allows you to go to different levels and also keeps track of your rating for each level. If you're above average in Chess you should be able to beat the first few levels easily. I mostly played level 4.

The Droidfish does not have levels and does not keep track, but if you want a challenge this one has got a pretty strong Chess engine. I'm an OK Chess player and I have not been able to beat it yet.
