I open up the advanced app killer several times during the day, and everytime I open it, there are about 10 or 12 apps running that I never opened up, and it's killing my battery. HELP!!!

I open up the advanced app killer several times during the day, and everytime I open it, there are about 10 or 12 apps running that I never opened up, and it's killing my battery. HELP!!!
What are the apps exactly? System things or what? I personally don't know why so many people use task killers. I let Android do its thing and my phone has been pretty good for all I do on it.

Yeah. You don't need a App Killer anymore than you need an Antivirus for your phone. You're actually slowing you're system by not letting it work the way it's intended.
If you want to know what is klling your battery go to Settings -> About Phone -> Battery Use. What type of battery life are you typically getting? Needing to charge a smartphone every day is fairly common with average use.
