Removing an email account
I added an email account that I no longer want on my phone. It's in the "email" app, not the "gmail" app. I have looked everywhere and cannot figure out a way to delete the account.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Follow these steps:
- tap on the Menu button
- tap on Settings option
- tap on Accounts & sync option
- tap on the unwanted email account name under the Manage accounts area
- tap on the Remove account option.
---- done!

I have tried this.
However, when I go back to my menu and tap on "email", the unwanted account is still listed there. Is there any way to remove it from there?

I figured this out, but thank you anyway.

Sure!
If you no longer want a certain email account to appear in the Email app on your Motorola Droid, you can remove it. Here are the steps to help you. 1. Open the Email app.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Tap Accounts.
4. Tap and hold the account you wish to remove.
5. Tap Remove account.

I'm glad you found a solution! I didn't know you could remove an account that way. ....and you had me stumped as to why the other way didn't work!?

I'm not always the best at wording my questions. I finally just sat down and kept searching through google. Maybe this will help someone else sometime.
