question about email attachments and data usage

Have a question. How much data am I using by emailing my mom with an mp3 file attached (and by her downloading it)? She has an iPhone and just wants like ten songs so I'm downloading them and emailing them to her. I can't find an iPhone app that does what is required hence the emailing.

Also if its not obvious, I'm trying to do this without a computer and can't think of how else to do it other than emailing..if there's an easier way I'd love to know..thanks.
