Ummm, are you hijacking my thread? lol

Yeah, I've had my customized yahoo homepage for so long that I've never looked for anything better. A "What's your favorite homepage?" might be a fun off-topic thread.

    No hijacking

Just saw it was Yahoo so I couldn't resist at the cheap shot.

Nice to see some sort of cooperation in the mobile market.

I forgot Yahoo was still out there, dam... and now I remember why I don't use it... their privacy is a joke... I just clicked that link above and it had me logged in as my friend (she sent me a similar link last week while she was logged in.... and I can assure you she has NEVER even touched this laptop) wow... and I thought Google's privacy was bad...

But to the OP, considering that Nokia (who is by FAR the largest manufacturer) Apple and now Google have lead the way with their own Markets (that run on their OWN, proprietary OS) and that Samsung is now developing their own OS (and is not attending the conference, and is actually holding their own this week) I don't think this will amount to much. But time will tell. Sounds more like the Providers are just crying because the OS/OEMs are taking their money.

You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe
