ReZound Ice Cream Sandwich Screen tilt

I think I have the greatest Droid I've ever seen. Sure dusts all the iphones...until I let Ice Cream Sandwich update my OS.
I am on a Rezound. 4.0.3
I need a little technical advice. After the update, when talking on the phone, all I can do is talk on the phone. If I tilt the phone to use any other function, the screen doesn't light up. I have to push the power key to make the screen light up. But then the screen only lights up for one second. Not long enough the key in a VM PW or accept a second call.

I know there are many variable affecting the phone. I use a few productivity apps, and have about 20 total installed. Nothing extreme, no games, or really questionable authors. No new apps since the update. I don't use a screen protector.

Any suggestions how to fix this?
