I have tried the v25, v25b, the unrooter to clean things up, and the Quickoffice remover, and they all have that exact same error. Been searching google for a few hours for a solution, but only found more people saying they're having the same error. Any help would be appreciated!

Exact same issue as you, i hope the maker of this rooter can update it soon to work with the i827. it's a great little phone and cost so little but the AT&T bloatware + no rooting is the only thing that is stopping this phone from being absolutely amazing for under 150 dollars/80 pounds.

    Hi all

I read this post and dived into rooting my Galaxy Ace S5830. I have 2.3.6 running by flashing S5830XWKTQ_S5830OXXKT4_S5830XWKT8_HOME.tar.md5 via Odin.

So I copied both rooting zips and the v9 unrooting zip to my SDcard. (universal_gb_root_v25.zip, universal_gb_root_v25b.zip and universal_gb_unroot_v9.zip)

Long story short, I flashed v25 and had no success. No SU app was installed. So I installed v9 unroot as advised and rebooted.

Then I ran the v25b file and still no joy however I did get Swagger loading screen. But the SU app and root wasn't installed. Tried installing SuperSU from the market. It installed but failed.

So I ran v9 uninstall again, reset to factory default, wiped data and cache, reflashed S5830XWKTQ_S5830OXXKT4_S5830XWKT8_HOME.tar.md5 via Odin.

    Anything you can suggest?

    Thanks.

Ok try first to run universal_gb_c.c.b.s.f_v8.zip to remove Phonebook apllication reboot the phone after that run universal_gb_remove_thinkfreeoffice.zip to remove ThinkFree Office you will have now available space in the system partition to root the phone. Finaly run universal_gb_root_v25.zip I analyze your firmware from Spain it should work.

    Hi StoneBoyTony,

thanks for the advice. Just as feedback, I flashed S5830XWKTQ_S5830XWKT8_S5830FRELT2_HOME.tar.md5 and it rooted straight away using universal_gb_root_v25.zip.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell what the difference is between the firmware version.

    Thanks again.
