I've wondered the same thing... anyone know of an app that will play FLAC?
if you want to root your droids and install custom roms the sholes and Bugless beast/beauty both can.
If those ROMs can, is this an indication that the official 2.1 will be able to handle FLAC?
Also, I'm waiting for someone to confirm whether Gapless playback is finally implented on 2.1......
No. Just because some awesome people decided to fix/create a way to do something, does not mean that Motorola/Verizon will have this added to the next firmware patch/upgrade.Quote:

I'm having the same problem. I have BB 0.8 ESE53. And i cant figure out how to play flac music that i put on my card. Can someone explain how to do it? Thanks
I would like to know how to get .FLAC to play also.
I assume this is the patch being used in some of the custom ROMS (don't hold me to that)
