HELP! video and audio files dont work! droid 2

I have a relatively new droid 2 and I everything worked fine until recently. Now the videos say sorry and they dont play and the music mp3 files say player doesnt read this format or something. The only thing I can think of that wouldve done this is when i was in the settings and i stopping running applications and stuff that I think I didnt need. I dont know what I stoppedbut Thats my best guess at what I did wrong. If anyone could help me figure out what I stopped and how to start it again, It would be realll appreciated! if not, the best way to soft or hard factory reset, whichever is better for the situation, and how to save all my files before doing so, if possible. thanks!

I would first try a battery-pull and see if that fixes it.

Without knowing what you disabled/deleted, its hard to figure out what could have caused the problem. Maybe restore the files, and start disabling them one at a time.
