so does anybody know how to auto enable GPS? does my phone need to be rooted? i keep seeing this "install as a system app" but what does that mean?!?!?
You have to be rooted and have adb...there's very good instructions at the site:
Installing Mobile Defense as a system application (Page 1) - Tutorials - Mobile Defense
I gave it a go, and it seems to work well. Connecting to the phone automatically turns on GPS (the usual caveats about indoor/outdoor sensitivity still apply.) I also like that the app stays hidden, both in the notification bar and in the app drawer.
I've been considering this application - my only question is simple..
If I have SMS messaging blocked on my plan, will this application function?

I wish wavesecure and Mobile defense backed up MMS
On Android 4.1.2 this app is giving an error when trying to connect to my data connection. It can't do it and keeps getting an error. The data connection is fine.
On Android 4.2.1 this app does not work at all and crashes.
I can't keep waiting for them to play catch up. Looks like Cerberus wins.
