I've just installed it. I have Lookout, which will locate your phone also. Interesting that this app has no icon as it's all done by the web.
WaveSecure uses GPS if it is available. Unfortunately, Android (1.5 onwards) doesn't allow apps to turn on GPS without user intervention. Of course, if we prompt the user to turn on GPS it defeats the whole purpose of silently tracking your phone.
WaveSecure on other platforms - Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Symbian supports this.
I can't get this to activate. I get the automated sms when I try to activate it via the site, but after a half hour it never activates. When I press the icon on the phone it just says waiting to activate.
My text just says:
"email@example.com: This is an automated activation message from Mobile Defense" + random code after...
So I get that text and then I click the icon and it gives me a message saying awaiting activation. Do I do something with that random code from the sms?
