Question Best App for to-do lists

I've just switched from a Blackberry to an LG Ally. I used my tasks and calendar together on my Blackberry to manage my day. I set up tasks, giving them a day and time. Then, when I had finished the task, I'd change the date and time for the next time I'd need to do it. My BB had a notes section on the task page, so that I could set a shopping list for the grocery store (for example), or a list of phone numbers or names of people to call. Does anyone in this forum use a Droid app that functions somewhat like that? Or have you figured out how to use the calendar with notes?

Thanks for any ideas you can send my way.

I use TouchDown which is an email/calendar/to do/contact database software. It syncs with Exchange. It costs $20. I can't do without my to do list from Outlook so I bought it. It should do what your looking for. It also allows for a longer signature on your email vs the stock email system on the phone; I use it for my corporate email so this was important.

If you use Google calender and put a phone number in the Main Appointment Line (Example: Richard Stockton Estimate xxx-xxx-xxxx) when you open the calendar page it will show the number as a hyperlink and you can hit it to dial the number.
Also if under Where: in the calendar you put the address that too will show as a link and when you hit that it will open Maps and show you the address on the map.

Is there something like this that will work with Outlook (NOT exchange)? I am desperately missing my Outlook calendar, and more importantly, tasks on my Droid X.

Thanks, Pyro. I checked out toodledo, and I couldn't figure out how to set a specific time for a task. Are you able to do that through the app?

In the meantime, I bought "To Do Task Manager Pro", which is actually pretty nice. You have to build the tasks in-app, which is something of a pain, but it has reminders, repeating tasks, and a nice, customizable widget. I might try this out for a bit, and if it disappoints, play with toodledo a bit more.

hmm thats odd, im having trouble finding where to add specific times on the website as well. You can do it within the app just by pressing a task, but there should be a way to do it online

I used to use color note, it works well so I can't knock it. Lately I've been using Gtask, which also works well, has two widgets (2x2 and a larger one), and syncs with your Google account. I've never accessed any of my notes or "tasks" from my PC so I'm not sure what format you'd be able to open them as. I mostly use the app for the widget, which lists your "tasks" that arent completed yet, and you can check them when you're done, and then they dissapear from the widget. It also allows you to set due dates for each task, and create alarms for them as well. If you wanna give it a try, search "gtask" and it should show up in the market (its a free app).
